Richard Sanoria, 65, of Pahoa died Nov. 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 25, 1946 in Olaa, he was a retired security guard with Securitas Security at Hilo International Airport, a retired Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, “Mike” Company in Vietnam and a member of the “I’m Outta Here” Vietnam veterans group.

Friends may call Nov. 29 at Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church; visitation is from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Mass follows at 10 a.m. with Military Honorsafterward. Casual attire is requested; cremation will be at Dodo Mortuary Crematory. He is survived by wife, Susan Sanoria of Pahoa; sons, Shane Sanoria of San Francisco, Calif. and Ryan Sanoria of Pahoa; daughters, Shanel (Leroy) Chow of Kurtistown and Shelbie Sanoria of Kona; grandchildren, Loke Sanoria and Zaynie Lee Chow of Kurtistown and Aleiya Sanoria of Pahoa; brothers, Fred (Evelyn) Sanoria, Raymond Sanoria and Roy Fujii of Pahoa, Tony Akiona of Honaunau; sisters, Marlene Sanoria of Pahoa and Irene (Craig) Suzuki of Hilo; sisters in-law, Darlene Sanoria of Pahoa and Patricia Sanoria of Kealakekua; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
